The Big Family Picnic

The Big Family Picnic will be at Chrissy Field, located in the Presidio of San Francisco near the Golden Gate Bridge. Chrissy Field is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). In the 1920's, Chrissy Field was made into an airfield, but now it has been restored to its original, pre-Army Air Corps state. There's a bird estuary, a park, a beach and a magnificent view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

We'll have blankets and games, and a fun time will be had by all! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring a sweatshirt or jacket in case the weather turns chilly.

• What to bring: We will provide dessert. You should bring whatever you wish to eat and drink.
• Nearby stores: Safeway is right down the street. It has a great deli section with everything you could possibly want, making everything easy and convenient.

The Wedding

The wedding ceremony will take place in the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center.

• Parking: Fort Mason has a large parking lot lot that seldom fills to capacity at that hour on a Sunday. Whatever you do, DON'T park in the Safeway parking lot. They tow cars. There's also parking in the Marina parking lot just outside the gate to Fort Mason.

The Reception

The reception will take place immediately following the wedding ceremony, in the lobby of the Cowell Theater.
